Worship at Congregation Shaare Emeth Our variety of worship experiences provides spiritual enrichment and a sense of community for all ages. Shabbat worship at Shaare Emeth is central in the lives of our congregants. Our congregants are engaged participants in worship - they pray, they sing, and they are actively involved. Led by our rabbis and cantor, worship services at Shaare Emeth are for all ages and provide worship experiences that:
The variety of available worship experiences are designed to touch lives so that congregants come to. Shabbat services because they find both answers and questions. Shabbat evening services are designed to welcome those of all ages, are informal and joyous, and regularly include special blessings for those observing birthdays during the month. Some Shabbat services feature special speakers and/or scholars-in-residence covering timely and/or relevant topics. During the warmer months Shabbat evening services are held outdoors in the courtyard, weather permitting. There are two services each Shabbat morning: a service which is often led by a child becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or a Shabbat morning minyan usually led by a congregant or one of the rabbis. Morning Minyan
Morning Minyan is held in the Chapel each Monday and Thursday morning. Whether you are saying Kaddish, or just want to start the day on a spiritual note, you’ll enjoy this intimate worship experience. High Holy Days
The High Holy Days start with Selichot, a lovely candle lighting service on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah that prepares us for the days that are ahead of us. On Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we offer adult-oriented services, family services, children and youth services, and various programs. There are also numerous opportunities for study, meditation, and prayers for healing throughout the inspiring Days of Awe. |
