Women of Reform Judaism

WRJ, formerly known as Sisterhood, is Shaare Emeth’s very active auxiliary, which provides the Congregation with educational, social, religious and community service programs.  The Annual Women’s Retreat, held during a weekend in the Winter months, is one of the many highlights of the year.  Many volunteers help with fund raising projects coordinated by WRJ for the benefit of the entire Temple membership, such as Sandy’s Judaica Shop and an invitation/stationery service.  Funds raised through these projects provide for camp scholarships, holiday treats for Religious School, transportation for seniors, Judaic gifts for newborns, Bar/Bat Mitzvah students, and wedding couples.

Shaare Emeth’s WRJ is a member of the Reform Movement’s Women of Reform Judaism and is active at the District and National levels.  Contact the office at 314-569-0010 for additional information.
