We need marchers for the Sunday parade; volunteers to staff the Jewish Community tent and pass out materials from the various participating organizations (2-hour shifts both days); and, of course, people to attend Pride Fest! Please contact Eileen Powers, 314-968-1730, for more details. People of all ages & persuasions are welcome. Let's see an even bigger crowd from Shaare Emeth this year!
As you may know, we require camp staff to wear a Camp Emeth staff shirt every day of the week. This helps us maintain a level of safety for the children by making our staff recognizable at all times. For the past few years, companies have sponsored our shirts and were recognized on the back.
If you have a business you would like to advertise on the back of our shirts, please fill out this form. Just think what a great walking billboard the Camp Emeth shirts will be for your business!
Read more about it at jewishheritagemonth.gov or read the President's 2013 Proclamation at

In the aftermath of the Boston Marathon Tragedy, Combined Jewish Philanthropies (Greater Boston's Jewish Federation) created the CJP Boston Relief Fund to present a unified response of support from the Jewish community. Funds raised will be donated directly to the One Fund Boston, Inc., created by Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Tom Menino, to help those most affected by the events. Donate now through Jewish Federation of St. Louis's webpage.

Each quarter Shaare Emeth chooses a community charity for which to collect and donate tzedakah box contributions. This April through June we're collecting for:
Keep the Music Playing! Our Tzedakah recipient this quarter is Music for Lifelong Achievement, a nonprofit based at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis.
Mission: To provide musical instruments to disadvantaged kids in school and community-based music programs.Music for Lifelong Achievement is a non-profit organization that seeks the contribution of used musical instruments from individuals and new instruments from manufacturers and distributors, then donates the instruments to schools and community music programs serving disadvantaged young people. Music for Lifelong Achievement also raises funds for instrument repair and musical accessories to support music programs.
All Tzedakah Box donations collected in April, May and June 2013 will go to this wonderful organization. Please bring monetary donations to the Temple tzedakah boxes.
